General Anxiety
Anxiety Disorders are very common. As a clinical psychologist, Justin sees many people who suffer from a variety of anxiety disorders, including social anxiety, panic disorders, generalized anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and phobias.
The symptoms for each type of disorder are different, but they all typically include overwhelming fears and dread. Anxiety disorders tend to affect all aspects of a person’s life and will often cause people to lose the ability to function normally in everyday situations.
Patients suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) usually can’t stop worrying about things, even though they understand that their concern is far more inflated than the situation demands. Often, there are physical symptoms such as headaches, irritability and trembling that accompany their anxiousness. They tend to have immense difficulty concentrating, and often have issues sleeping.
Justin works with patients in weekly therapy sessions on a short-term or long-term basis. The options available to you will be discussed during your first assessment session with Justin.
